Computer and Internet Use Policy

The mission of Reynolds County Library District (RCLD) is to make computers available to access electronic information resources to our patrons.

All computer users must provide a photo ID and proof of residency.

All users of RCLD's computers are expected to use these resources in a responsible manner, consistent with the educational and informational purposes for which they are provided, and to follow the rules and regulations of the Reynolds County Library District.

Library staff will show patrons how to access the program they wish to use, and how to access online help. Other than this, users must assume responsibility for learning to use the computer and software.  Library staff cannot be expected to provide personal tutoring.

Users must log in and out at the circulation desk each time they use the computer.  There will be a time limit of 1 hour's use in the morning and 1 hour's use in the afternoon.

The user agrees to take proper care of all hardware, software, and all other equipment which is property of the library. Users will report immediately to library staff any problems or difficulty with the equipment.

Phones, tablets, computers, or any handheld devices are not to be plugged into Reynolds County Library District computers.

Children under the age of 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian of the child to sign them in to use the computer and remain with the child during the session.
